Older concrete needs a gentler approach

Around west Mesa and the neighborhoods near downtown, a lot of driveways and patios have been in the sun for decades. Concrete that age is often more porous and can be etched by too much pressure. We use hot water and the correct detergent to lift staining out of the surface instead of blasting the top layer off it — which is what leaves those permanent wand marks you sometimes see.

Newer builds, pavers and stucco

East Mesa and the newer communities bring different problems: paver patios where sand and growth collect in the joints, and light stucco that shows every streak of roof runoff. Both want lower pressure and more attention to rinsing than a slab does.
